Luigi Lanuzza

Overview

Luigi Lanuzza, holds a Master Degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Messina and a Master in Photovoltaic Engineering magna cum laude from University of Rome - Tor Vergata.

In 2001 he joined the University of Pisa, as associate researcher developing research activities in applied Electromagnetics. Then, in 2003 he moved to the semiconductors manufacturing industry joining ASML, supporting international customers and dealing with cutting-edge technology.

In 2009, he moved to the green energy joining Enel Green Power, having key-roles in the development and construction teams of the PV modules factory 3SUN, while acting as reference for PV technology within EGP.  Then, in 2012 he was part of the startup of the activities in South Africa, managing some of the largest EGP projects.

In 2013 he moved to the Innovation department of EGP, being in charge of PV and Energy Storage initiatives, leading in particular the large scale grid-tied stationary energy storage and the off-grid hybrid programs.

Since January 2015, Luigi is leading the Energy Storage Innovative Business Opportunities unit of EGP Innovation and Sustainability department.

Luigi's Fellowship research is based on: integrating models for electrification in different contexts and evaluating these by means of technical economical comparisons.
