Overview
Born in Rome during the Italian economic boom. He has a degree in Physics and an MSc in Scientific Computing (La Sapienza, Rome University).
After the experience as officer in the Italian Army, he joined ENEL in 1983, working as Computer Engineer in the department involved in the construction of nuclear power plants. He later worked in the National Control Center (now part of TERNA organization) dealing with activities related to the design and development of tools for demand forecasting, power dispatching and mitigation of the risks due to weather impacts on electric network. He gave his contribution to the birth of the electricity markets analysis in ENEL and was involved in several IT projects as program manager.
In 2009 he joined Enel Green Power, during its start-up phase, where he set up the IT systems for Energy Management in the Italy area and developed forecasting models for wind and hydroelectric power production.
He designed the Energy Management System for the pilot experimentation of battery storage usage in connection to renewable plants in Italy. Since 2016 he has been in ENEL Holding, dealing with modeling for quantitative energy and macroeconomic analysis and forecasting.
He joined ENEL Foundation in April 2019.
